Appeals on Wheels Appellate Court Program at IC on November 6

Indian Creek High School’s Student Council is excited to announce an Appeals on Wheels event on Wednesday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to Noon at the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
This engaging program, featuring live oral arguments from the Indiana Court of Appeals, gives students and community members an invaluable opportunity to observe the judicial process firsthand. The event begins with oral arguments at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Q&A session with judges and attorneys.
This event is free and open to the public. We encourage attendees to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start to ensure a prompt beginning. Doors to the PAC open at 9:45 a.m., and entry may not be permitted after the arguments commence.
Indian Creek High School government teacher Kenda Eley shared her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “The judicial branch is often seen as a far-off entity of government that doesn’t have much relevance in our daily lives. Hopefully, this event humanizes the many individuals that make up the judicial branch and work as civil servants to make our communities a better place to live.”
We look forward to welcoming our community for this unique educational experience and providing a deeper understanding of the judiciary’s role in our society.
