At the December board meeting, the Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation Board of Trustees voted to appoint Dr. Matthew Prusiecki as the interim superintendent. Dr. Prusiecki will begin immediately as the previous interim superintendent, Mary Roberson, resigned due to prior obligations.

"The board is happy to announce and welcome Dr. Matt Prusiecki as our interim superintendent this January," said Greg Waltz, NHJ United School Corporation Board President. "We know that Matt will be a sound leader and always have the best interest of the students in our corporation as we move forward this school year."

Dr. Prusiecki has spent more than 30 years in education, with 13 years of experience as a superintendent. He served Indian Creek Schools as the superintendent from 2011 to 2013 before moving to Decatur Township, where he served until his recent retirement in December. Prusiecki serves on numerous boards, including Central Indiana Education Services Center, Southside Special Services Center, Communities In Schools Indiana and Second Helpings.

"I look forward to the opportunity to work with the Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation Community and help continue developing and growing the great things that are happening," Prusiecki said. "Having served the community in the past, I understand and know the great support and collaboration that exists for the benefit of the children and their families."

Dr. Prusiecki earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Arts in Social Sciences from Indiana University. He earned a Master of Science in Administrative Education from Butler University and a Doctor of Philosophy in School Administration from Indiana State University.
